More about me:
During my early years I grew a love for Stephen King and Robert Ludlum. I fell in love with King’s horror stories and Ludlum’s spy novels took me to another world. These years were crucial in developing my love for writing. I quickly found that I had a passion for reading novels in the action adventure, sci-fi, occult detective, and thriller genres. These types of books fascinate me because they are fast-paced, packed with suspense and they inspire me the most.
As I grew older I began to appreciate the non-fiction genre. I acquired a lot of my general knowledge from self-help books. I like memoirs as well because I like to read about people historical figures.
Over the years I have established a process to my writing. I believe that it is essential to know when your optimal time for writing is. It is during this time that you will put out your best work. My optimal time for writing is four a.m. to midday. I already know what I am going to write because I plan effectively days, or weeks ahead of time.
When I wake up I pick up where I left off. It’s very important to bring structure to your story so that you aren’t writing aimlessly. I believe in creativity, but when your mind isn’t pumping out any ideas this is the perfect opportunity to draw inspiration from another source. When I need inspiration I watch movies and TV shows to get fresh ideas.
My favorite show to date is The Walking Dead and my favorite movie is Heat. I love The Walking Dead because of character development and gore. I love the movie Heat for its fast paced plot and Tru-crime feel. Another form of inspiration can be music. I listen to music that I feel is relative to the genre in which I am writing, but I suggest listening to whatever type of music helps you write the best.
